The Moment

This was forwarded by   Scott Wilson  via  Hockey Night in Canada

Hockey, aka basketball is defined by moments. And as a player, you, are defined by what you do with that. Moments to better yourself, Moments to learn, Moments to bond as a team, Moments that define character. Because when you play your absolute best,You don't just excel in the moment, You own it.
Own the moment, ice rink, court, puck, and basketball.

A wonderful practice in Rapelje

Pop passes, aim at a dot on the palm of your target's hand, practice passing at a dot on the wall.Your dot target is chi distance above the floor. Push passes and bounce passes only. No cross court passes.
Deke is to fake one direction and go another. Feint is a fake pass. Two on one wonder drill requires a feint, push pass, a deke ,and bounce pass. Offence players are to choreograph their play action. Then, moving up to five on one. Passes are to be clear and distinct. Shooter to follow the shot.

She shoots She scores

The set shot, jump shot, and foul shot are all the same; with the jump shot your feet leave the floor.

Heel lift, release, launch, follow through.

The best shot is the set shoot. Why? less effort, more accurate, and quickerr.

All of these shots have only one type of control hands, wrist action

Renagades and Round Ball

Will you do those things unsuccessful people will not do?
If you keep on doing what you always are doing, You will always be what you have always have been. Samual Jackson

Scouting RPR: no dominant players, poor passing, bunch up, weak hands, only three players in the game.

Rules: Do not make a pass for the sake of making a pass. NEVER. never, never...pass to a covered player!! never cross court pass! All passes below the Chi, midsection of you team mate. Talk to each other. All players to be fifteen feet apart. This will open holes in defense. Step out of action and be open for the next pass, talk, talk.

If you are not in the game( mentally), you will soon be out of the game on the bench.

RPR needs five sound passes to start, who know how to pass clear and distinctly.
